Buccal fat pad is normally present in the babies and it usually disappears with age but sometimes it persists during adulthood. One can consider this fat removal

• If one has a very rounded face.
• If one appears to have ‘chubby cheeks’ or ‘baby fat’

SURGERY :

Done as an out patient basis. Small incisions are made from inside the mouth and the ‘fat pads’ are removed .Discomfort is minimal with some swelling which subsides in a few days
